AMR simulations in Cosmology![]() We are organising a workshop on the use of Adaptive Mesh Refinement (AMR) simulations in cosmology, at the Institute for Computational Cosmology. The ICC is part of the University of Durham. The workshop will concentrate on the Flash code , a publically available MPI AMR implementation develloped by the ASCI centre, but we will also compare to other public cosmological hydro codes such as Gadget , Hydra and Enzo. Date : June 14 th (Monday) - June 18 th (Friday) 2004Place: Institute for Computational Cosmology, Durham UniversityContact: Tom TheunsSecretary: Emma DurrantProgramme: Get ps fileThere are review talks (50') and contributed talks (20') in the mornings, and split-sessions in the afternoon, for more focused discussion and hands-on experimenting. The topics of these sessions are: -- source terms -- data analysis and visualisation, including test cases, bench marks, code comparisons -- initial conditions -- gravity solvers and particle routines Tom Theuns, Institute for Computational CosmologyMarcus Bruggen, International University Bremen |
